Priced on what you switch on.
A joinery workshop and a builders merchant use very different halves of Gydon, and it would be daft to charge them the same. There is no public price list because there is no single product to put a price against, but there is nothing mysterious about how a quote is built.
A quote is made of four things
1. The modules you turn on
There are 32 to choose from and most businesses use a handful. You are not charged for the ones you leave off, and they are not in your menus either.
2. How many people use it
Named users, because that is how permissions, ownership and audit work. Someone who only signs on at a bench tablet with a PIN is not a named user.
3. Which field apps you need
Shopfloor, warehouse and driver are licensed separately. A workshop with no vans has no use for a driver app and does not pay for one.
4. Getting you onto it
Setting the system up, bringing your data across and training your people. A one-off cost that depends entirely on the state of what you are moving from.
What is always included
- Hosting on UK infrastructure, with your own database
- Your own domain, with a certificate
- Daily backups
- Updates as they are released, at no extra cost
- The always-on parts: CRM, quotes, orders, invoices, tasks, calendar, timesheets, reporting, document templates, workflow and permissions
- Support by email, and by phone when it is quicker
What costs extra
- Modules beyond the ones you have licensed
- Additional named users, as you grow
- Field app licences, one per app
- Data migration beyond what was quoted, if what turns up is not what was described
- Bespoke development, integrations we have not built, and custom document design
- Third party costs you pay directly, such as SMS credits, Stripe fees and marketplace fees
Questions people ask before they ask the price
Why is there no price list on this page?
Because it would be a made-up number. The difference between a five person workshop running production and stock and a forty person merchant running marketplaces, a trade counter and a fleet is not a rounding error, and a headline price would be wrong for both of them. We would rather spend twenty minutes finding out what you need and give you a figure you can actually plan against.
Can we start small and add modules later?
Yes, and most people should. Turning a module on is a licence change rather than a migration, so the sensible route is to get the core working, live with it, and add the next piece when the business is ready for it.
Are we tied in?
The commercial terms are in your agreement rather than buried on a web page, and we will put them in front of you before you commit to anything. Your data is yours, and you can have an export of it.
What if we want it on our own servers?
Possible, and some businesses have good reasons for wanting it. It changes the shape of the arrangement, so raise it early rather than late.
Do you charge for support?
Ordinary support is included. Work that is really new development, or fixing data that came in from somewhere else, is quoted separately, and we will tell you which one it is before we start rather than afterwards.
